Weight gain after exercising

If your like me, there is nothing more annoying that working out really hard, watching your diet only to see the number on the scale go up.  That's why it is so important to not really just on your scale to measure your weight loss.  You can truly tell with how your clothes are fitting.  Measurements with a fabric tape measure will tell more than a scale does.  What you have to remember is that just because the scale number goes up does not mean that you necessarily gained weight.  It could be a number of things including muscle gained.

I recently read an article in Shape Magazine that covered this topic.  A few things they mentioned about this was that after a strenuousness workout like a spinning class, most of the weight loss you see is temporary and mostly water weight that you lost.  But most importantly, just because you lose pounds on the scale, doesn't mean that you are more fit, it just means you are lighter.

If you want to read more on the article, find it online at http://www.shape.com/weight-loss/weight-loss-strategies/help-why-does-my-workout-cause-weight-gain
